Police and Fire. Great response and help as I locked myself out of a condo with dinner cooking, potentially burning the place down!. Been here for 27 years, never made this mistake. Thanks for a quick and friendly response. You are the best!

My wife has an idiosyncratic reaction to having blood drawn. She passes out and becomes extremely nauseous. This has happened to her since childhood, and like clockwork it happened again the other day when we went for a blood test. We thought she was over it enough for me to drive her home, but unfortunately she had to throw up by the side of the road at a busy intersection. Even more unfortunately, a fire department ambulance pulled up behind me while I waited for her to get back in the car. The ambulance crew then attempted to intimidate and coerce my wife into being transported to the hospital (which was within walking distance of the intersection). Before we were finally 'permitted' to decline their services, we were surrounded by two emergency vehicles, two police cars, and more than half a dozen large, physically intimidating crew. I don't know how that entire crowd even fit into the vehicles present. It was frightening, disturbing, and made a bad day much, much worse. I'm very glad that we don't live in this community, because I would hate to have to rely on these jackbooted thugs.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Electrical fire in my building this morning. Grant it now it wasn't as serious as it could have been in the end, but nonetheless still a grave concern. Response time was way too long. Alarm was going off more than 15 minutes with no response of any kind from the fire department. When they finally got here, I asked them why it took so long for them to respond and they were very ignorant and rude in their response saying they got here when they could. Need I remind you as public service officers that every minute counts in an emergency? What if that was your family or loved one in a fire or an emergency? Is your family more important than mine or my neighbor's family? I'm not faulting the department for doing their best to get here as fast as you could have, what I'm faulting them for is their nonchalant attitude when addressed about their response time. You have to strive to be better. You chose a career as a service in first response....answers like the one I received so nonchalantly this morning are not acceptable in your line of work. Do better.
